I have gained a tastier and healthier lifestyle.

Hello, my name is Dennis Beasley, I am 62 years old and I am a retired salesman. I came upon Sham when I searched in hopes of finding a Wellness Specialist/Nutritionist. His name was the only one that came up under that search parameter. I was looking for this because I have spent the last 6 or 7 years bouncing from one fitness and nutrition gimmick to another. Losing a pound here and there but never really making any headway in my desire to drop 15 to 20 pounds. I had been exercising at a major gym, even got involved in a couple of biggest loser workout gimmicks. But never reached anything close to what I hope for and was told that I could get to where I wanted to be if I just worked harder and more often.

So I was looking to see what Sham and Inspired Wellness could tell me about my diet and current exercise program. On my own I had been staying away from all the stuff that I thought was bad for me, beef, eggs, white bread, soda, candy (well sometimes) all the stuff that had “empty calories”. Still experiencing no weight loss. I also got involved in eating “super foods”. Super foods are exotic and some not so exotic foods that some say are all we need to exist. They say that these foods have all the proper nutrients our bodies need. The food did not always look good or taste good, however, I was able to drop my cholesterol down 77 points in 19 months. But NO WEIGHT LOSS.

So far I have hung out with Sham for about three months and I have lost almost half of my goal weight and several inches from my waist and legs. The real interesting thing is that I have been able to maintain it without having to jump through any weird hoops, or drink something that tastes like you just licked the bottom of your lawn mower. Ech! I get to eat foods that are good for me and taste good. Sham’s teaching technique and his spacing out what you learn and when you learn it is really great!! I have made some major changes to my eating habits and I don’t feel like I have lost anything (except the weight) but I have gained a tastier and healthier lifestyle.

For me weight loss is going to be slower then it might be for someone else but Sham has showed me it is possible and put me on the right track, I spent a lot of time packing this extra weight on and so it will take time to lose it but I have the right plan this time. And now I have new eating habits and a new mindset about food and exercise.
